| Best Way to Go By: Clare G. Manorville, NY |
Christopher, 33, was a Suffolk County Deputy Sherriff, who had stayed at your locaton after drop offs at least a dozen times. He took me there twice. He received his bad diagnosis March 29th. His glioblastoma brain tumor was back It wasn't a surprize to him, as he hadn't been feeling well. His "last Licks" were to go to Mirror Lake Inn. He loved it so much, he redid our master bath just like the Mirror Lakes.
I called when he was bedridden, on hospice I spoke of how fond he was of the scent of soap, and the stairs @ Christmas. You were so nice to send me a copy of the room CD, 4 bars of soap, and a cartridge of the scent from Christmas.
When I'd wash him, I chased everyone out, put on the CD, fanned the cartridge and lather him up. He looked so relaxed. No hospice in our area could send an aide. It didn't matter. No aide could care for him that much.
Chris passed away 7/6/07. I will miss him terribly. It will be difficult traveling there, with our 2 and 3 year old, lord knows I could use that spa, but one day, we will return. Thanks for making such a difficult time easier.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Clare Guydish |
