As we crossed the threshold it was as if we had been transported to another place and time. The staff was so friendly and kind. The front desk offered to call us when our room was ready. The staff we passed was kind and helpful in pointing out directions. All the staff members we passed looked us in the eye and greeted us as we made our way through the buildings.
The main building had already gotten our attention. We had lunch at the View and couldn't imagine a better reason for staying here until we enterted our room. It was so beautiful and tastefully furnished. It was if we stepped into another time and place as we entered our room.
Cloudsplitter music playing as we entered. It was the perfect setting as we entered. It was the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. Friend's sent a wine and cheese plate to greet us... beautifully set up in our room. The view was perfect. The weather had been in in our favor and a breathtaking view of the high peaks awaited us as we entered our room. No touch had been left undone.
Tea was served in the main room. It was incredible, like out of an English novel. Magazines and games of every kind availble for the asking. The main room fire maintained perfectly. It could only be
topped by piano music in the evening. Our musician was so friendly and indulgent. No song too old or forgotten to play he had an unlimited knowledge of any music we requested. He played on and on into the evening. As you traveled about you came back to him as the centerpiece of the evening.
So many wonderful things to see and do- we tried as many as we could, and can't wait to go back!
