It was 38 years ago. My new bride and I stopped at Mirror Lake Inn on our way to Quebec. We stayed in a knotty pine cottage we had reserved in advance. For some reason we both remember the once-in-a-lifetime delicious raspberry pie we had for breakfast on the terrace. We got the recipe from the kitchen chef morning, and, to this day, Rose perfectly replicates that recipe with her own homemade raspberry pie on Thanksgiving Day, make from scratch with rasberries we pick each year for that purpose. So, for the last 38 years our family has enjoyed a Mirror Lake Inn raspberry pie at Thanksgiving at home. We have shared it with our 9 children year in, year out. That's right - nine! There must have been something extremely stimulalting in that recipe!
