Winter Wonderland Birthday

We had been to Lake Placid during the summer a few times related to the horse shows. We loved Lake Placid in the summer and all it has to offer. We had never stayed at the Mirror Lake Inn during those times. Not being skiiers and having a birthday near Christmas, I had always wanted to go away to a Winter Wonderland during that time. Finally, my dream came true!

We journeyed from Pennsylvania to Lake Placid. We haven't had much in terms of a real snow in our area for some time. Not like here! Upon our arrival to a beautiful snow covered town trimmed in it's Christmas attire, we decided to stop for lunch. As we sat at lunch in front of the fire, the snow started!!!! and didn't stop until the next morning! and a solid 10inches more of beautiful snow! A dream of mine for sometime and a wonderful birthday present delivered right to our door! It was fabulous! Staying at your Inn, allowed us to walk everywhere. We sat in front of the roaring fire at your Inn and enjoyed all it had to offer. So cozy and comfortable. We sat in our room and enjoyed the beautiful snowfall and the twinkling lights about the lake and town! We meandered across the street to the infamous "Cottage" and caught the town Chrismas party and were made to feel right at home and made new friends, some who we keep in touch!!! We enjoyed the winter festivities of your town, fine dining and the winter wonderland that surrounded us. Our stay ended by getting another 10inches and delaying our departure to the next day. So more relaxing by the fire, winter sports, and fine dining! A perfect ending to a perfect stay! Best birthday present ever. Looking forward to doing it again next year!!! Lake Placid and the Mirror Lake Inn have become a very special place to our family. We will always come back!
