I am an employee and work at Verizon. I am a team leader and have a great group of sales representatives that work for me. I happen to be one of the winners invited to stay at Mirror Lake Inn. It was one of the few trips that we are able to bring a guest. My mom was just recovering from pneomonia when I asked her if she would be well enough to travel. I wanted to take my mom because if it were not for her I would not be as successful in my job as I am today. She was delighted to attend. I have to tell you I never saw such a quick recovery in my life. My mom has not been to many nice places. When she saw the Inn she was like watching a child at Christmas. I to was overwhelmed at its beauty. My mom just stood in front of the window in our room and kept saying how beautiful it was. I had to agree. It was the most beautiful place that I have ever been. Each night they would leave a gift on our beds. One night we got the little pillow filled with pine. She and I comment on how every once in a while we can smell the fresh pine and it reminds us of the Inn. The other day we both commented on how much fun we had in Lake Placid. She told me it was a trip she will never forget. Thank you Mirror Lake Inn for giving my mom and myself such wonderful memmories. We do hope to visit again some day. I came home and told all my employees and everyone that I see how they need to go there some day. I am not so sure about the date last year. It was sometime in February. We have photos but not on the computer.
