Our first visit to the Mirror Lake Inn in June of 1994 came as a 50th birthday surprise for my boyfriend, Royal. He was turning 50 and it seemed like the perfect place to celebrate such a happy occasion. I had heard so many good things about the Mirror Lake Inn that I wanted to experience it myself and to share it with the man I love.
We had visited Lake Placid at other times but this was the first occasion staying at the Mirror Lake Inn and what a wonderful surprise. We stayed in the Colonial House across from the Main Building and the situation of the building actually made it seem that we had our own private "little house" on Mirror Lake; our bedroom actually faced the lake and we woke up each morning looking out on the lake. The peacefulness and serenity of the atmosphere was so calming. Everything at Mirror Lake was of the highest quality and excellence; the staff were polite, friendly and helpful at all times; our lodging accommodations were splendid; the meals in the main dining room were delicious and just the whole atmosphere of the Inn was one that we will always remember.
We have continued to come back year after year to spend time at the Mirror Lake Inn (either in the early summer of early fall) and it never ceases to amaze us at the excellent service. You have found two forever friends and patrons of the Mirror Lake Inn. Congratulations on a wonderful and satisfying inn experience!!!
