| Extravagant Comfort summarizes our spectacular winter stay at the inn. My wife & I were fortunate enough to discover this hidden treasure on Mirror Lake during our two year wedding anniversary this year. We had planned for a quiet stay to relax & enjoy the winter activities but, what lake placid returned was beyond our expectations. We arrived at mirror lake inn after driving for 5 hours thru a snow storm, where we barely were able to see 50 feet ahead. However, when we stepped into the inn we were instantly soothed by the warm atmosphere & generosity of the staff. We then walked the residence grounds & felt at home as we sat by the fireplace & enjoyed the luxury 19th Century atmosphere. We retired thereafter & unwound in the charming & quiet guest room. The following morning we woke up with the clear breathtaking view of Adirondack Mountains, I had never seen such a beautiful feat of nature, let-alone from my own residence. That morning created a remarkable enough memory for our weekend stay; however it was only the beginning of our lake placid experience. We shaped so many memories that weekend at Lake placid; we cannot wait for Next winter. We could not ask for a better location & accommodation, we enjoyed, Alpine Skiing, Snowtubing, Snowmobiling & Even Dog Sledding all within a 15 Minute ride from our room. Not to mention fine dining, luxury shopping & even town Brewery within walking distance. Mirror lake inn offered all this yet, in an isolated quiet street. Our wedding anniversary could not be better memorialized than it was on our weekend stay @ the Inn. We planned for a good time, what we left with was a wedding anniversary tradition. |
