As we drove through town on the way to The Mirror Lake Inn, I was saddened to see the lake frozen. When I looked out the window the next morning, I could see water starting to sparkle on the rim. That afternoon, almost two feet of water was showing. The next day, more. The third day, almost all of winter's ice was gone. As we sat eating breakfast on day four, the morning of our departure, the lake was dancing and smiling. It had shed it's hard shell of winter and was rejoicing Spring!
