| My husband, Al and I , wanted someplace special to celebrate his birthday (which is in Sept.). I'd heard of the Mirror Lake Inn, and when we saw how beautifully decorated the Mirror Lake Inn was at Christmas, we decided to postpone his celebration until December 12-14, so we could take a break from all the Christmas preparations and concentrate on us. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend, taking long walks downtown for shopping, enjoying the Pub across the street and the freindly "natives", and sipping our Raspberry Spumanti in front of the fireplace while playing Scrabble in the Library. We felt like millionaires! We pretended that this was our home with our own personal staff and we agreed that we did a wonderful job of hiring such fine people! From being served that scrumptious breakfast buffet, to drinks before dinner in the easy chairs overlooking the lake, to having our dinners in the dining room, the staff was so friendly and accommodating! I can't say enough about how beautiful and restful the Inn was, and I've recommended it to everyone I talk to! Thank you for the memories! |
