Yes, its Ash Wednesday and it is beautiful here. Gods work. The best part is we came with friends, Mitch and his daughters Samm and Sal and Stacey with their Children Nick and Isabela. My daughter Chloe and I had never really been skiing until this trip. We were anticipating needing lessons so we did at Whiteface Mountain, they were wonderful there too! Patient and courteous. Today was a wonderful day because we took lessons then went up on the Gold, Silver, and Bronze trails which were perfect for us beginners. The blood was pumping and my heart racing-and what was really wonderful was my daughter Chloe was flying down the hill looking like a natural! I was so filled with pride I wanted to cry. So very proud that she had mastered it enough to be so confidently coming down this mountain with Mitch who was a great skier, who has also given her confidence by giving her instruction along the way. The down side is we didn't book enough days here!!! Augh, we didn't want to leave now. We are hooked! We started (Chloe and I) as "Newbies to skiing" and now we cant wait to book another week here at the Mirror Lake Inn. Maybe we can stay in the house right on the lake. Maybe I'll be married to Mitch! Maybe we will remember this as the place where we all became really close by sharing the same beautiful experience together? We will be back for sure-Soon I hope!
